Argyros, Estate Cuvée Monsignori – Assyrtiko – 2022, Santorini

The wine has a beautiful straw color. The first nose is fresh and mineral, almost flinty. There are also notes of tangy fresh fruit like green pineapple and fresh pear. The second nose opens with more intensity and still beautiful mineral notes, a certain sense of space and green fruits with a hint of white pepper. The palate is fresh with good acidity and minerality. There is tension with notes of fresh green apple, ripening pear, juicy lemon and almond. There is a certain directness and a fresh, almost minty finish. This is a very good, juicy and sensitive wine with a vibrant, almost electric side on the persistence.
