Apolloni – Olivia Vineyard Pinot Noir 2012 – Willamette Valley

The nose is elegant and offers a fine richness as well as a small tension. It reveals notes of violet, plum and small notes of cornflower associated with fine touches of strawberry, a hint of balsamic, discreet hints of sweet spices, a very discreet hint of vanilla as well as an imperceptible hint of cardamom and orange. The mouth is fruity, elegante, precise, racy and offers tension/verticality as well as a fine acidulous frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of violet plum, violet and small notes of cornflower associated with very fine touches of strawberry, small fresh blue fruits as well as very discreet hints of tonka bean, cardamom and a subtle hint of racy minerality. Good persistence.
