(organic) The wine shows a medium-deep ruby-garnet colour. The nose is slightly muted, with aeration revealing notes of cherry compote, kirsch, a touch of savoury herbs, a hint of iron and meatiness. The palate is powerful and vivid with a nice, refreshing acidity, plush, slightly drying tannins and a pronounced bitterness. It reveals notes of ripe black cherries, red fruit compote, a touch of sage and rosemary, a lick of spices, some animalistic notes. The finish shows some herbal bitterness.
