The nose is aromatic, powerful and offers intensity. It reveals notes of small red berries and small wild black fruits associated with slight hints of violet, scrubland, blueberry as well as discreet hints of spices, nutmeg and Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, suave and offers a good definition, a slight acidulous frame, a small minerality, a slight juiciness, a very slight freshness as well as tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe/crushed redcurrant, blueberry and small notes of plum, small red berries associated with slight toasted touches, caramelization as well as discreet hints of dark chocolate / cocoa. Tannins are fine, structuring and elegant. The finish / persistence is slightly powerful. Good length and gourmandise.
