André Goichot Ladoix 2022 – Ladoix

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose expresses pronounced smoky and meaty notes, which develop into aromas of sweet spices (nutmeg, white pepper, cumin), flowers (dried rose, lily) and fruits (raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, cranberries), a touch of strawberry and red plum), as well as a very light touch of blackcurrant leaf and violet. The palate is juicy, enveloping and gourmand. It expresses the flavors of ripe red cherry, wild strawberry, crushed blueberry, morello cherry, raspberry, combined with notes of liquorice, clove, nutmeg, as well as a touch of dark chocolate, flowers (dried rose, lily) and a hint of dried mint. The finish is quite persistent, gourmand, and expresses notes of ripe red cherry, a lingering hint of chocolate, good bitterness, as well as refreshing acidity. The tannins are polished and fine.
