André Goichot Givry Champ La Dame 2023 – Givry

André Goichot Givry Champ La Dame 2023 – Givry

The wine has a ruby color, of medium intensity. The nose offers freshness and juiciness, as well as a tangy frame in its fruit. It expresses notes of crushed raspberry, wild strawberry, red cherry, as well as crushed cassis and gourmet touches of roasting (dark chocolate, coffee, toasted wood in the background, a hint of smoke) and spices (white pepper, a hint of licorice and vanilla). There are also hints of mint chocolate and peony after aeration. The palate is savory, but delicate and silky. The attack is expressive, with a distinct toasted side (toasted hazelnut, chocolate, a hint of coffee and smoke) and a ripe and gourmand fruit. Flavors of roasted red cherry, ripe red cherry, cassis, wild strawberry, and raspberry are found, combined with spicy (licorice, nutmeg, white pepper) and floral (peony) notes. Tannins are supple, fine, and enveloping. The finish is persistent and gourmand, with a chocolatey touch of chocolate morello cherry, as well as a mouthwatering acidity and a hint of cassis.
