The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is subtly spicy, toasted and slightly meaty. After aeration, it expresses elegant floral notes (fresh rose, lily, lilac), liquorice, cumin and fresh mint, enveloped in a juicy and tangy fruitiness (bigarreau cherry, strawberry, crushed raspberry, redcurrant jelly). The mouth is straight, tight and structured. It expresses a perceptible note of black pepper, cloves, a slight smokiness, a fine floral bouquet (lilac, fresh rose), as well as tangy fruits (bigarreau cherry, raspberry, cranberries, red currants). The finish is persistent, spicy (with notes of clove and cumin), very slightly bitter. The tannins are fine, but tight, balanced by a lively acidity.
