Amrut – Indian Single Malt Whisky

Amrut – Indian Single Malt Whisky

The nose is powerful, relatively fine and offers a mineral purity. It reveals notes of barley, honey and crushed Zante currant combined with subtle hints of dried lemon, dried mandarin zest, wheat, mirabelle plum in syrup, minerality / flint as well as a subtle touch of gray pepper and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a small roundness, straightness and finesse. On the palate this Whiskey expresses notes of dried yellow plum, dried citrus and small notes of dried white grapes associated with touches of pâtisseries, minerality, gray pepper as well as a subtle hint of honey, barley, tobacco and candied yellow plum. There are a hint of toasted oak, a hint of spices and an imperceptible hint of peat (in the background). (INDIA)
