The nose is fresh, elegant and offers a delicate velvety quality, good definition and an almost airy balance. There are notes of pulpy blackcurrant, fleshy bigarreau cherry and, more slightly, violet combined with delicate touches of fleshy/crushed strawberry as well as discreet hints of bergamot, nutmeg and vanilla (in the background). The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, smoothness, freshness, good definition, accuracy, delicacy in its racy power, a nice acidic backbone, finesse in its straightness. On the palate, this wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, blackcurrant and, more lightly, bigarreau cherry notes combined with hints of tart/juicy redcurrant as well as violet, vanilla, discreet hints of sweet blond tobacco, a subtle touch of graphite and salinity. The tannins are elegant and mellow.
