Alter Ego de Palmer 2024 – Margaux

The nose is elegant, precise, deep and offers a black ink/Chinese ink side and spices notes. There are notes of boysenberry, lily/iris and small notes of camphor, associated with touches of small concentrated red berries, hints of plum blossom, as well as discreet hints of crushed strawberry, a hint of infusion and a subtle velvety hint. The palate is well-built, supple, elegant, airy, precise, deep, juicy, clean and offers straightness and precision. A certain mellowness, fleshiness and salinity on the mid-palate. This wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, juicy/fresh red cherry and small notes of cornflower, combined with touches of star anise, camphor, hints of lilac, nutmeg, as well as hints of toasted, fine hints of balsamic and chocolate. The tannins are velvety, saline and finely sappy. Good length and persistence.
