The nose is fruity, gourmand, powerful, well-balanced and aromatic. It reveals notes of cassis, black cherry and slight touches of wild black berries associated with hints of jammy raspberry, menthol, sweet spices as well as a hint of tonka bean. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, tight, dense, very powerful (but full of balance) and offers a slight mineral frame, juiciness, gourmandise, freshness, minerality, a good definition / expression, a good volume as well as a beautiful finesse. On the palate this wine expresses notes of plum, juicy/ crushed cassis and slight notes of wild strawberry associated with slight touches of toasted oak, chocolate as well as a discreet hint of liquorice. Tannins are well-built. Good length and persistence. Gourmandise on the finish.
