The nose is racy and offers subtlety as well as a fine and powerful grain. The wine benefits from being decanted. There are notes of wild blackberry, wild flowers and slightly more liquorice stick combined with hints of blueberry, morello cherry and fine toasted, roasted and toasted notes. The palate is nicely fresh with minerality/mineral structure, fine creaminess and a racy/fresh gravelly character. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black berries, pulpy blackberry and slightly racy/terroir gravel, combined with hints of graphite, incense, mocha, fine roasted notes and a subtle touch of blueberry and vanilla. The tannins are fresh and racy. Good length. Chewy and nicely bitter on the finish.
