Albor de Masos 2022 – Alicante

(Masos) The nose offers concentration and a certain aromatic power. It reveals notes of boysenberry, small elegant blue berries, tobacco and small notes of quite ripe red fruits associated with hints of dry scrubland, incense, liquorice as well as a discreet hint of liquorice. The palate is fruity and offers a beautiful delicacy, creaminess, a beautiful texture, a certain tension, a nice saline side as well as a certain accuracy. The texture is pleasant. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, creamy cassis and small notes of bright strawberry associated with toasted touches, toasted almond, salinity as well as a fine hint of scrubland, almost sage and olive leaf. A touch of vanilla in the background. Tannins are mellow and gourmand.
