Alban Roblin, Château La Rabotine, Les Démalés 2022 – Sancerre

The wine has a pale lemon yellow color. The nose is gour;qnd and dense: it expresses notes of ripe and fleshy fruits (yellow peach, apricot, a touch of white melon, passion fruit and fresh pineapple). After aeration, we find the aromas of candied lemon peel, grapefruit jam, ripe lemon, as well as gooseberry and white flowers (apple blossom, elderflower, acacia), combined with a calcareous minerality. The palate is concentrated, fresh and tangy. The attack expresses flavors of lemon, lime and fresh grapefruit, combined with notes of gooseberries and passion fruit. In the mid-palate, we find notes of white peach, apricot and green apple, as well as white flowers (acacia, elderflower, apple blossom). The finish is sqvoury, mineral (limestone), with a slight bitterness of grapefruit and a salivating acidity. Good persistence and liveliness in the mouth.
