Abbazia Santa Anastasia – Sensinverso 2016, Nero D’Avola – Sicilia IGT

The nose is fruity and offers some creaminess, a good definition and deepness. It reveals notes of creamy blackberry, creamy/fresh cassis and small notes of fleshy strawberry associated with touches of liquorice, vanilla, a hint of cornflowers, a subtle hint of sense of the place (in the background). The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, an acid frame, a small tension, richness in mastery/freshness and energy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fleshy strawberry, creamy blackberry and small notes of pulpy small fruits associated with a touch of fleshy/tangy small red fruits as well as hints of chocolate, liquorice, a fine hint of olive tree and a subtle hint of anise.
