460 Casina Bric, Seradenari 2020 – Barolo

The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is savory and fragrant, with notes of sweet spices (nutmeg, cloves, liquorice, a hint of vanilla), flowers (dried rose, dried peony, lilac) and dried herbs (wild mint , a touch of tobacco, bay leaf), combined with a fresh fruitiness (juicy red cherry with a slight maceration side, strawberry, crushed raspberry, blueberry, a hint of red plum) and a light touch of roasting (toasted hazelnut, sweet coffee ). The palate is fleshy and offers volume, flavors of very ripe fruit (wild strawberry, juicy morello cherry, blackberry, crushed raspberry, a touch of black plum), associated with savoury notes of sweet spices (clove, a touch of liquorice, nutmeg and vanilla in the background), flowers (dried rose, peony), a hint of chocolate, cherry in chocolate and coffee, as well as a touch of chocolate mint. The tannins are well constructed, slightly gripping, without being drying and balanced by a nice acidity. The finish is long and gourmand and offers a rich but fresh fruitiness, complemented by notes of fresh flowers on the finish.
