The nose is fruity, fresh, precise and offers a crystalline/purity side, a graphite side, precision, spices/pepper as well as a precise and stretched grain. There are notes of pulpy blackberry, toast and small notes of graphite, pulpy purple plum, mocha as well as fine hints of violet/cornflower and sweet blond tobacco. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, mineral, chiseled and offers a nice juicy burst of fruit, tension, a nice stretched side as well as a tangy frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright cassis and small notes of camphor, fresh/juicy plum, mocha associated with touches of toast, sweet blond tobacco, Bigarreau cherry as well as a subtle hint of star anise, almond, cardamom and a subtle floral hint (almost discreetly sappy). The tannins are savoury, fresh and finely chalky. Good length. Slightly soft on the finish.
