Château Le Grand Housteau – Merlot 2020, Bordeaux

On the nose, fruity and offers opulence, a delicate freshness as well as a fine structure. It reveals notes of juicy/fresh blackcurrant, blackberry and subtle notes of plum combined with hints of raspberry, fresh lily and wafts of licorice. On the palate, fruity and offers juiciness, smoothness, freshness, fluidity as well as a nice richness/concentration and tension. The wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, black currant and subtle notes of pulpy cherry  combined with hints of fleshy/juicy raspberry as well as touches of fresh licorice and of minerality and an imperceptible hint of chocolate (in the background). Good length. The tannins are precise and very delicately soft and creamy.
