Autumn’s charm meets the finest wines of taste Alto Piemonte in Stresa

 

As autumn paints Lake Maggiore in warm hues, the elegance of Alto Piemonte’s wines once again takes centre stage. From November 9 to 10, 2025, the Grand Hotel des Iles Borromées in Stresa will host the eighth edition of Taste Alto Piemonte, the premier event dedicated to the region’s ten prestigious denominations, from Gattinara and Ghemme to Lessona and Boca.
Organised by the Consorzio Tutela Nebbioli Alto Piemonte, this edition reaffirms the event’s role as an essential showcase for a territory where history, landscape, and craftsmanship converge to shape wines of remarkable finesse. Over fifty producers will welcome professionals and enthusiasts for two days of tastings, storytelling, and discovery, offering an immersive journey through the volcanic soils and microclimates that define Alto Piemonte’s distinctive Nebbiolos.

vertdevin-magazine-Taste Alto Piemonte wines MaggioreThe programme will feature guided tastings led by AIS Piemonte and five masterclasses exploring Nebbiolo and other native varieties, including one organised with the Consorzio Tutela Vini del Sannio, this year’s special guest. This North–South partnership symbolises the diversity and unity of Italy’s wine culture. From October 27 to November 9, the Wine Weeks will further extend the experience, with restaurants, osterias, wine bars, and shops across the provinces of Novara, Vercelli, Biella, and Verbano-Cusio-Ossola offering Alto Piemonte wines by the glass, turning the region into a living map of taste.

The event also embraces nature, sport, and travel: visitors arriving via the Treno del Foliage will enjoy discounted entry, while participants of the Lago Maggiore Marathon will receive complimentary access to the Sunday morning session.
