Cottanera – Campagna 2023/2024 – Monte Etna DOP – Olio Extra Vergine di Oliva, Sicily (Italy)

The nose is elegant, aromatic, intense and pure. It offers a lovely varietal character expressed with great delicacy. It reveals notes of olive leaf, sage and preserved zucchini, combined with touches of fleshy fresh Marmande tomato and delicate hints of fresh eggplant. An almost imperceptible touch of fresh lavender emerges in the background. The palate is luminous and offers richness, delicate minerality, roundness, beautiful texture and good definition. It expresses notes of preserved zucchini, grilled eggplant and, more discreetly, sage, combined with touches of fleshy Marmande tomato, Torino tomato, delicate floral hints, a subtle almost sunflower seed nuance and a delicate fleshy vegetal touch. A discreet herbal note lingers on the finish.
