Montelvini Debuts at the Venice International Film Festival as the Wine Partner of Casa I Wonder

The winery, ambassador of Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG, celebrates the centenary of Eleonora Duse’s passing by participating in the 81st edition of the renowned festival dedicated to cinema

On the occasion of the 81st edition of the Venice International Film Festival, Montelvini announces its collaboration with I Wonder Pictures, a well-known distribution and production company that brings some of the most interesting independent films to Italian theaters.

From Tuesday, August 27 to Saturday, August 31, the winery will be present at Casa I Wonder, a convivial space designed as a meeting place for exchanging ideas about the competing films, where cinema and gastronomy come together to celebrate Italian excellence.

Throughout the festival, Casa I Wonder offers a rich schedule of events that allow guests to enjoy a unique experience. During the evenings from August 27 to 31, guests can taste a selection of Montelvini’s finest labels, including Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Brut Millesimato 2023, Zuitér Montello Rosso DOCG 2019, Zuitér Montello Asolo DOC Manzoni Bianco 2022, and Luna Storta Passito. These wines accompany menus dedicated to the festival, designed to enhance their qualities and offer a refined gastronomic experience in an unparalleled setting.

Montelvini has chosen to participate in the renowned festival for the first time on the occasion of the centenary of the death of Eleonora Duse, the legendary Italian actress who left an indelible mark on the world of theater. “La Divina” spent part of her life in Asolo, a village rich in art and beauty, of which Montelvini has been a proud ambassador for five generations. With this tribute, the company not only celebrates the great winemaking tradition of the region but also strengthens the historical connection with one of the most iconic figures in Italian theater, uniquely combining wine culture and the artistic history of Veneto.

In addition to its participation in Casa I Wonder, Montelvini will also be present with its labels at the Prosecco DOC Consortium stand set up at the Hotel Excelsior, where visitors can taste the winery’s Prosecco DOC Treviso Brut and Prosecco DOC Rosé Treviso Brut – Millesimato, thus completing a wine and food experience focused on quality and tradition.

Montelvini

Montelvini is one of the most dynamic wineries in the Italian wine scene, headquartered in Venegazzù, a small hamlet of Volpago del Montello, in the province of Treviso, in the heart of the Asolo Montello DOCG. Montelvini’s experience is based on five generations of the Serena family and over 140 years of commitment to producing quality wines. The company’s logo features an owl because the area where the winery is located is called Zuitère, meaning “land of owls.” This animal has always been a symbol of wisdom, knowledge, and sensitivity, and at Montelvini, it represents the wisdom in harvesting the best fruits of a territory and the knowledge in managing it, respecting nature and its rhythms. Montelvini creates refined and classy products, made with respect for the environment, tradition, and sustainability. The latter value has been successfully and committedly upheld by the Veneto-based company, earning it the Equalitas Sustainability Certificate in 2021 for its environmental respect, social attention, and economic responsibility, placing it among the first three wineries in the Prosecco territory to obtain this important certification. The winery is among the most modern in the Italian wine scene, thanks also to collaborations with multinational companies leading in the production of machines and products for oenology. Today, the company is chaired by Armando Serena and managed by his children, Sarah, General Manager, and Alberto, CEO.
