A rich wine with ripe fruit aromas including black fruit (cassis, black berries) associated with raspberry and strawberry. In the mouth it also reveals spicy / peppery. The volcanic soil characterizes this wine also.

Stryker – Chardonnay 2011- Alexander Valley – Sonoma County

Wine developing notes of small yellow fruit, apple, papaya and melon along with woody notes. A fresh wine with a slight acidity in the mouth quite nice. A fruity, harmonious and pleasant to taste. The finish is fruity and good length.

Balletto Winery – Vin de paille (Pinot Gris) 2009 – Russian River Valley – Sonoma

An excellent wine, fruity, rich in aromas and sweet unlike others it does not overload the mouth with sugar. It reveals aromas of apricot, nectarine, quince, plum and apple. All this combined with notes of honey and gingerbread. Good length.
