Balletto Winery – Vin de paille (Pinot Gris) 2009 – Russian River Valley – Sonoma

An excellent wine, fruity, rich in aromas and sweet unlike others it does not overload the mouth with sugar. It reveals aromas of apricot, nectarine, quince, plum and apple. All this combined with notes of honey and gingerbread. Good length.

A wine with aromas of cassis, black berries, strawberries and raspberries combined with hints of violet. The tannins are a little young. They deserve to age and soften a few years.
