Château Pontet-Canet 2014 – 5ème Grand Cru Classé à Pauillac

Château Pontet-Canet 2014 – 5ème Grand Cru Classé à Pauillac

The nose is intense, pure, complex and concentrated. It reveals notes of ripe black fruit combined with a few notes of blackberry cream, cherries, flowers and a hint of liquorice, aromatics herbs and dried tobacco leaf. The palate is fresh, fruity, dense, powerful, rich, full, well structured, fat, beautifully pure, gourmand and offers a nice velvety texture. In the mouth it expresses notes of blackberry, plum, fresh red cherry, blackberry jam as well as slight toasted / roasted woody notes, sweet spices and a fine touch of chocolate on the finish. Tannins are fine, supple and integrated. Good length.
