Three Merchants Unite to Revive Bordeaux
Under the leadership of Basile Tesseron, co-owner of Château Larrivaux and a committed figure in the Bordeaux wine scene, three historic merchants, BéBa, Domaines Select, and Signature Sélections have joined forces with a shared ambition: to restore Bordeaux to its rightful place by celebrating the region’s unique diversity and craftsmanship.
This alliance, the result of a project years in the making, took shape after Basile Tesseron’s 2024 acquisition of La Vintage Company and its subsidiary Domaines Select. Renamed BéBa in 2025, in tribute to Bérangère and Basile Tesseron, the house embodies the link between production and trade. The integration of Signature Sélections in summer 2025 marked a decisive milestone, creating a coherent and forward-looking group built on complementary strengths.
At the helm, Basile Tesseron is joined by two complementary leaders: Jérôme Ducasse, Managing Director of BéBa and Domaines Select, a Bordeaux native and seasoned wine merchant, and Karim Nasser, Managing Director of Signature Sélections, whose background in fine hospitality and top Bordeaux estates has honed his sense of service and quality. Together, they lead a close-knit team of fourteen, united by a shared conviction that cooperation is the key to Bordeaux’s renewal.
In an increasingly demanding economic environment, this union stands as a pragmatic and collective initiative aimed at optimising resources, strengthening responsiveness, and consolidating trusted relationships with producers. With 90% of its portfolio originating from Bordeaux vineyards, the group’s mission is clear: to put Bordeaux back at the centre of its business, from Grand Cru to hidden gem.
The new structure distinguishes itself through a balanced portfolio, selective distribution across 38 countries, regular professional tastings, and secured sourcing directly from partner estates. “We want to be Bordeaux’s ambassadors… Its wines have never been so consistent, high in quality, and inspiring. It is up to us to say it and to prove it.” (Basile Tesseron)
