Château Ducru-Beaucaillou

It is a prestigious Bordeaux wine estate located in the Saint-Julien appellation. Its history dates back to the early 18th century, around 1720, and it owes its name to the “beautiful stones” (beaucaillou) characteristic of its terroir. Classified as a Deuxième Cru in the renowned 1855 Bordeaux Wine Classification, it produces wines renowned for their elegance, depth, and complexity.

The estate has been owned by the Borie family since 1942, with a steadfast commitment to quality and excellence. The château’s vineyards are primarily planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with the terroir’s gravelly soil ensuring optimal drainage and good heat retention for the vines. The wine cellar is exceptionally well-appointed directly beneath the Victorian-style château.
