Leo Arazo spent a decade travelling the world to learn about wine before returning to Itata. Volcanico Granito is made from very old bush-trained vines growing on volcanic sand. The grapes are hand harvested, basked pressed, and fermented using local yeasts. Fermentation and ageing takes place in concrete vats with some large old wooden casks.
Light and juicy, with captivating dark fruits, an earthy, herbal touch and fine grippy tannins on the finish. A very exciting wine with a mineral freshness, and wonderful purity of fruit.
