Le Serre Nuove dell’Ornellaia 2022 – Bolgheri Rosso DOC

A beautiful, elegant, delicate, and racy nose that offers deepness, a beautiful complexity, and intensity. It reveals notes of boysenberry, creamy small fruits and small notes of elegant roasted strawberry associated with touches of small blue fruits/blueberry as well as delicate hints of cornflower, star anise as well as a hint of rosemary, Penja pepper and a discreet iodine hint. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, delicate, silky and offers freshness, minerality / a beautiful mineral frame, freshness, a good definition, a small elegant austerity as well as a certain richness in deepness, but full of precision. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy cassis, small, brillant wild black berries, and small notes of quite ripe wild strawberry combined with a touch of elegant roasted fruit (a Mediterranean side to the fruit) as well as fine toasted hints, dark chocolate, a hint of wild blueberry, a hint of cornflower, and a discreet sage hint. Tannins are precise, very elegant, and mellow. Good length. Lovely chewiness and sapidity bring a delicious/gourmand finish/persistence. Good persistence.
