La Fortezza – 2022, Piedirosso, Sannio DOC

The nose is fruity, frank, fresh, deep and offers an aromatic intensity. There are notes of bright red cherry, small red berries and small notes of geranium and cherry blossom, associated with touches of pulpy red plum, violet, blond tobacco and a hint of zan. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers acidity, juiciness, a tangy frame, minerality, good definition, energy, purity, brightness and a crystalline side in the purity of its aromas. A lovely, gourmand fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cherry, small juicy/pulpy red berries and small notes of geranium, combined with touches of violet, fine hints of plum blossom, as well as a hint of almost brilliant red plum. The tannins are precise, finely mellow and tangy. A subtle hint of almost verbena/camomile and toasted almond on the persistence.
