The nose is fruity, racy and precise. It offers good definition, precision, depth and a spicy side. It reveals pretty notes of small, fairly ripe red berries, brilliant blueberry and small notes of wild strawberry, flirting with jammy notes. There are also notes of citron/cedar, a fine hint of almost dry aromatic herbs, pepper, as well as a subtle hint of almost dry garrigue and dry tobacco. The palate is well-built, it offers a melodious side, freshness, a lovely play on discreet bitters in the background, a certain fatness and roundness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of crushed redcurrant, crushed blackberry and small notes of cornflower, combined with touches of juicy violet plum, as well as floral, aromatic herbs hints, a subtle hint of almost rosemary/balsamic, a discreet note of blood orange/orange peel and a hint of china in the background. Good length. Delicate, velvety and racy tannins. A fine floral hint in the background (chinine). Beautiful minerality and freshness.
