Baglio Di Pianetto, Syrah 2023, DOC Sicilia

The nose is pretty, velvety and offers a certain gourmandise, fine depth, good definition and a certain spicy side. It reveals notes of nutmeg, small ripe wild red fruits and small notes of a sense of the place, associated with touches of lilac, crushed blackberry, as well as fine hints of smoke. The palate is fruity, juicy, mineral, supple, fresh and offers a certain melodious side, gourmandise and good definition. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of creamy cassis, small creamy red berries and small notes of fleshy cherry, combined with touches of thyme blossom, olive tree/local grove, as well as a hint of volcanic rock. Good length. The tannins are mellow and tasty. A little chewiness on the finish/persistence.
