Caruso & Minini – Vualà 2022, Nero d’Avola – Sicilia DOC

The nose is fruity, velvety, it offers fleshy fruit, a certain depth and brilliance of fruit and a lovely ripeness. It reveals notes of fleshy strawberry, fleshy/pulpy blackberry and small notes of bright plum, associated with delicate hints of flowers, as well as a subtle, almost sage-like hint. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, it offers a tangy frame, energy, good definition, a certain rightness and fine tension.  It also presents a nice definition, a floral and airy side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, bright violet plum and small notes of crunchy cherry, combined with touches of small yellow fruits, as well as a subtle hint of discreet sage/aromatic herbs, discreet touches of toastiness, chocolate in the background and a subtle hint of cherry pit. A subtle hint of almost balsamic and chocolate in the background.
