Caruso & Minini – Delia Nivolelli 2019, Syrah – Sicilia DOC

The nose is aromatic, elegant and offers fine intensity and a little concentration. It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry, pulpy raspberry and small notes of crushed redcurrant, associated with a touch of roasted-elegant cherry, as well as fine hints of red pepper, violet, spices and a subtle hint of green cardamom. The palate is beautifully built, fruity, elegant, gourmand and offers a tangy frame. It also presents precision, tension, suppleness, lovely definition, a nice little mellowness and powderiness, and a lovely texture. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cherry, raspberry and small notes of small crushed red berries/redcurrant, combined with a touch of jammy cranberry, as well as fine hints of tonka bean, a subtle hint of almond, toastiness and a hint of balsamic in the background. The tannins are beautifully elegant, fresh and tasty. Lovely mellowness on the finish/persistence.
