Caruso & Minini – Nino 2015 – Sicilia DOC

The nose is beautifully elegant, racy, fresh and offers a lovely floral, velvety side. It reveals notes of violet, bright cassis, blackberry and small notes of crushed red plum, associated with touches of bright/juicy cherry, as well as hints of violet, nutmeg, roasted almond and a fine hint of chocolate. We find on the nose, a hint of blood orange/mandarin. The palate is well-built, fruity, juicy, suave and offers a lovely freshness and minerality. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, creamy blackberry and small notes of brilliant cherry, combined with fine touches of small red fruits with kirsch, as well as fine hints of cherry blossom, blood orange, a hint of toasted almond, chocolate, discreet hints of sense of the place and toasted tobacco. Good length. Nice little chewiness. The tannins are precise, mellow and well-built. Nice persistence. Nice freshness.
