MASOS – Vidal-Balaguer 2024 – DO Alicante

The nose is fruity, fresh, racy and offers a lovely suavity, a lovely freshness in its texture, gourmandise as well as accuracy. There are notes of black cherry, Quetsche plum and small notes of small brilliant red berries, associated with a touch of cornflower, sage, black olive, sense of the place (local biotop), as well as fine hints of cocoa nibs, black pepper and spices. The palate is well-built, fresh, juicy and offers a certain bright/brilliance, depth, roundness, concentration and elegance. Finesse in the texture. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, brilliant cassis and small notes of small black berries, combined with touches of cocoa nibs, small wild red berries, as well as hints of morello cherry, sense of the place (local biotop), olive tree leaf and a discreet hint of sage. Good length. Lovely mellowness, toasted and gourmandise. Good work on the good bitters and roasting.
