The nose is reserved, but opens up after aeration. It expresses notes of morello cherry, crushed cassis, a hint of wild strawberry and blackberry, as well as liquorice, mint, a hint of violet, toasted wood, toasted hazelnut, chocolate morello cherry and a delicate nuance of vanilla. The palate is closed, but has an enveloping and juicy texture, with fine but quite solid tannins. It expresses notes of cassis, red cherry, cranberries, the bitterness of bird cherry, a hint of blackberry and morello cherry, as well as liquorice, cassis leaf, a hint of mint, chocolate and white pepper in the background. Beautiful salivating acidity, the finish is quite persistent and sapid, with good bitterness and freshness.
