Château Puygueraud 2024 – Francs Côtes-de-Bordeaux

(Organic) The nose is fruity, with freshness, gourmandise and purity. It reveals notes of pulpy kumquat, ripe citrus and small notes of bright mirabelle plum, associated with touches of bright nectarine, as well as fine iodized hints and an imperceptible, almost verbena-like note in the background. The palate is beautifully juicy, fruity, mineral, it offers a tangy frame, acidity, definition and precision. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/tangy kumquat, tangy/pulpy mirabelle plum and small notes of lemony notes, combined with touches of sweet pink grapefruit, as well as hints of crushed brugnon, verbena and a subtle, almost acacia-like touch. Nice acidity and salinity on the finish/persistence. Lovely texture and fatness in finesse/elegance. A subtle hint of fresh butter in the background. Very good persistence. A hint of toasted almond in the background/persistence. A subtle, almost tannic aromatic note on the finish/persistence.
