The nose is velvety, textured and concentrated. It expresses fruity notes (ripe morello cherry, black plum with a hint of prunes, tangy red cherry, wild strawberry, crushed blackcurrant), liquorice, fresh nutmeg, black pepper, coriander seeds, a touch of wild mint, violet and pine needles. The palate is slender, but juicy and gourmand, with notes of coffee and toast, dark chocolate on the attack, ripe juicy fruits (morello cherry, blueberry, blackcurrant, wild strawberry, wild raspberry), licorice, nutmeg, white pepper, hazelnut and toast, roasted aromatic herbs, mint and fresh flowers on the background and persistence. The tannins are silky and velvety, enveloping. Nice refreshing acidity and good length.
