The nose is fruity, fresh, sappy and nicely stretched in finesse. It reveals notes of violet, peony and pulpy blackberry, associated with touches of small red berries, as well as fine hints of ripe cranberry, saffron, flowers and fine hints of nutmeg. The palate is well-built, with fruit, suavity, a mineral and tangy frame, a little tension and precision. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, violet and, more lightly, lilac, combined with touches of small, fleshy red berries as well as fine hints of almost roasted-juicy red fruit, tonka bean and sweet spices. Good length. Finely mellow, racy tannins. Fresh, chocolatey and an airy side. Good persistence. A fine mellowness with a pretty floral/fine sappy side on the nose and palate.
