Château Pontey 2024 – Médoc

The nose is fruity, juicy, with a hint of crushed, even fermented red cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, tangy strawberry, blueberry, a sweet hint of peony, iris, violet, mint, blackcurrant leaf, a touch of licorice, cardamom and cocoa nibs. The palate is elegant, juicy, pure and precise, with a fruity attack (crushed, even fermented red cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant, tangy strawberry, blueberry, a tannic hint of bird cherry), complemented by a touch of cocoa, violet, peony, dried mint and blackcurrant leaf, toasted hazelnut, toasted wood, dried needles on the persistence. The tannins are soft and fine, beautiful acidity and length on the gourmandise of morello cherry and chocolate.
