Château Picoron 2024 – Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is fragrant, floral in opening (violet, rose, peony, lilac in the background), then, it expresses notes of tangy fruits (blueberry, blackcurrant, raspberry, redcurrants), liquorice, a fine toasted touch (fresh wood and toasted wood), nutmeg, peppery and herbaceous touch (fresh mint, dried mint, fresh tobacco, blackcurrant leaf). The palate offers a fruity attack (blueberry, blackcurrant, raspberry, redcurrants), completed by floral (violet, peony), toasted (toasted wood) and spicy (liquorice, pepper, nutmeg) notes. The finish is tangy, slightly chocolatey and gourmet. The tannins are polished, but well structured.
