Château Patache d’Aux 2024 – Médoc

The nose is aromatic, fruity and floral in the opening (morello cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, black plum in the background, blackcurrant), very floral (peony, iris, violet), then it expresses notes of chocolate, licorice, a hint of vanilla, cardamom, sweet wild mint, toasted hazelnut, a sappy hint. The palate is juicy, enveloping, airy and fresh. It expresses less sweet fruits (morello cherry, raspberry, strawberry, blackcurrant), notes of chocolate, licorice, cardamom. We find the herbaceous and floral side on the finish, beautiful persistence, salivating acidity, good bitterness of coffee and toast. A chiseled, slender, fresh wine, with complexity. The tannins are velvety.
