CHÂTEAU LESTAGE DARQUIER GRAND POUJEAUX 2024 – Moulis-en-Médoc

The nose is nicely intense, frank, spicy and offers relief. It reveals notes of boysenberry, strawberry charlotte and small notes of crushed raspberry, associated with fine hints of star anise, as well as fine hints of lilac and star anise. The palate is well-built, it offers good definition, a certain gourmandise, precision, silkiness, a certain delicacy, energy and a floral/pistil side in the background. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, raspberry and small notes of saffron (in its floral side), red pepper, small tangy/fresh red fruits, as well as a fine hint of sappy, almost pine-needle-like and a discreet, almost iodized-like hint in the background. Small mellowness with a fine side on the finish/persistence.
