The first nose is toasted and spicy (liquorice, white pepper, nutmeg, toasted hazelnut, a hint of cocoa). It then expresses notes of ripe fruit (morello cherry, strawberry, blackberry, crushed raspberry), peony, violet, wild mint, a hint of tangy citrus. The palate has a juicy and fruity attack (morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, raspberry, strawberry), with spices (licorice, white pepper, nutmeg), flowers, herbs, warm pine needles and pine bark in the background. Nice acidity, good length on spices, bitterness of coffee and wild cherry. The tannins are firm and fine.
