Domaine Virginie-Thunevin 2024 – Bordeaux Supérieur

The nose is beautifully fruity, deep and precise, with a certain density. It reveals notes of boysenberry, pulpy/juicy cherry and, more lightly, small brilliant red fruits, as well as hints of lilac and an almost new balsamic hint. The palate is well-built, fruity, with gourmandise, a tangy frame, a certain relief, 3D, good definition and juiciness. It also offers a certain mellowness, freshness and minerality. It expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, fresh/pulpy raspberry, and more lightly cornflower, associated with touches of small creamy/fresh red fruits, as well as hints of strawberry, chocolate and toastiness. A beautifully gourmand wine, fruity and mellow. A subtle hint of sappy in the background, with a discreet hint of cocoa.
