Château Léoville Barton 2024 – Saint-Julien, Cru Classé

Château Léoville Barton 2024 – Saint-Julien, Cru Classé

Lovely, fresh, mineral nose that offers good definition, a nice spicy side and a fine, frank, racy, elegant grain. Beautifully racy/identity. There are notes of wild blackberry, cubeb pepper and small notes of wild strawberry, associated with touches of sappy, hints of small brilliant red fruits, nutmeg, as well as a fine hint of infusion, clove and toasted. The palate is well-built, fruity and offers freshness, minerality, good definition, juiciness and a racy, elegant structure. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis, juicy blackberry and small notes of cornflower, combined with touches of juicy raspberry, combined with touches of mocha/tonka bean, as well as hints of clove, tobacco and toasted hazelnut. Nicely textured and mellow midpalate. A subtle floral and fresh gravel hint on the persistence. A lovely wine, fresh, gourmand, velvety, racy, iodized and mellow. Chewy finish. A certain elegant darkness.
