Château Brane-Cantenac 2024 – Margaux, Cru Classé

The nose is frank, racy and offers a certain fullness and plenitude and a fine, sappy side in the background. It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry, fresh/pulpy violet plum, and small notes of small fleshy/juicy red fruits, associated with touches of tobacco, lilac, as well as fine hints of sense of the place and a hint of smoke in the background. The palate is mineral, fresh, it offers a certain suavity, a little juiciness, a tangy frame, good definition and precision. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, small red berries, and small notes of cornflower, combined with touches of violet, racy minerality, as well as fine hints of fleshy blackberry, lilac, bergamot, toasted hazelnut, a subtle hint of saffron (in its floral side) and a discreet hint of nutmeg. Good length. A wine offering mellowness and a little chewiness on the finish/persistence.
