The nose is elegant and precise. There are notes of black cherry, violet and small notes of boysenberry, associated with touches of iodine, hints of cornflower, saline minerality and toastiness. The palate is well-built, supple, fresh, precise and offers mellowness, juiciness, harmony, purity of fruit and a nice little fat and mellowness on the mid-palate. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, juicy/pulpy black cherry and small notes of cornflower, combined with touches of small brilliant red fruits, hints of tobacco, star anise, as well as fine hints of black tea, chocolate and nutmeg. Nice little chewiness and a sweet side on the finish. The tannins are well-built. A discreet hint of good bitterness in the background.
