Les Carruades de Lafite Rotschild 2024 – Pauillac

Les Carruades de Lafite Rotschild 2024 – Pauillac

(47% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc; 2% Petit Verdot) The nose is elegant, airy and offers complexity and a lovely aromatic palette. There are notes of violet, cassis and small notes of small ripe wild red fruits, associated with touches of blueberry, as well as fine hints of cornflower, cubeb pepper, discrete hints of lilac and smoke. The palate is beautifully juicy, fruity and offers freshness, minerality, a fresh frame, purity, bright, a crystalline side as well as a chiselled side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh cassis, juicy/pulpy Bigarreau cherry and small notes of wild raspberry, combined with touches of small roasted-juicy red fruits, as well as discreet hints of cardamom, toasted, roasted bread, infusion and toastiness. The tannins are mellow, sapid and tasty. A subtle hint of almost warm sap and Timut pepper in the background. Energy and purity.
