The nose is juicy, ripe and tangy. It expresses notes of red cherry, morello cherry, cranberries, blackcurrant, tangy strawberry and raspberry, combined with a hint of redcurrant jelly, a toasted hint (toasted hazelnut, cocoa, coffee in the background) and spice (licorice, a touch of vanilla) and peony in the background. The palate is fresh and fruity, with tanginess of red cherry, cranberries, morello cherry, wild cherry and blackcurrant, complemented by sweet spices (licorice, hint of vanilla and nutmeg) and the toasted side (toasted hazelnut, coffee, cocoa). The tannins are well-built, gourmands and velvety. Beautiful persistence and a salivating acidity.
