Clos du Clocher 2024 – Pomerol

Pretty, elegant nose, spicy, frank, velvety and offers a certain delicacy and finesse in its power/aromatic intensity. Accuracy. There are notes of boysenberry, lilac and small notes of pulpy strawberry, associated with touches of cornflower, peony, a subtle hint of spices, as well as discreet hints of cardamom, cinnamon and sweet spices. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, definition, silkiness, gourmandise in accuracy, a little fatness, a floral and airy side, a tangy frame, plenitude and energy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, cornflower, peony and lilac, combined with touches of juicy/pulpy cherry, juicy raspberry, hints of small wild berries, floral pepper, as well as fine hints of crunchy cherry, and good bitterness. The tannins are sapid, sappy and elegant. Precision and accuracy. Even a discreet roasted-juicy/elegant side of fruit, at times. A lovely mid-palate. A certain sappy/floral on the palate that lengthens the finish and brings a lovely energy.
